I enjoy being barefoot; I feel so much more agile and light on my feet when I'm shoeless.  That being said, for some reason I really am not barefoot all that often.  I find it interesting that we dull one of the most sensitive areas of our bodies...

I've always been fascinated by Japanese and Oriental gardens.  There's almost something otherworldly about the peace and quiet present in all of them.  Not only that, they are aesthetically pleasing--a perfect combination of stones and water that flows effortlessly.

I find it remarkably tranquil here.  I've been so worried about my grades recently, but those anxieties aren't present here.  I especially enjoy the company of the koi fish.  There's something about the way they look and act that seems so human...

Really, all distractions seem to go away here.  The roar of cars and trucks on nearby Mopac fades into the background, the excited screams of children barely piquing my attention.  I like it here.x
